So What’s This All About?

Hello, it’s Victoria here, your very own future vet, farm fanatic and of course, proud Northerner! That’s me there, in my element surrounded by cows which is how I spend probably too much of my spare time! Having worked my socks off for years to have gone from an area that isn’t particularly well known for churning out the vet students, to being in the midst of intense veterinary science training at the University of Liverpool, I have learned one thing that nobody prepares you for- it’s a tough art!

With that in mind, I wanted to start this blog for a number of reasons: to reach fellow vet students and let you know that if you feel like you’re drowning then you’re not alone; and similarly for any aspiring vet students still at school and feeling like it’s not going right or you’re not having any luck with applications, you are doing great. Just keep climbing!

Equally, if you’re not a vet student and have no desire to become one but want to hear some animal-based anecdotes then you are welcome too!

From studying, to placements, to free time, I can’t wait to share my musings and experiences with you on the road to one of the most challenging but overwhelmingly rewarding careers: Veterinary Science.
